Samantha AI launches version 3, with voice accounting for over 75% of interactions

Samantha AI

Samantha AI, Romania’s first conversational artificial intelligence platform, has launched its third version, already recording that more than 75% of user interactions are conducted via voice. Data show that users spend significantly more time in voice-based conversations compared with text-only sessions.

The platform’s speech-to-speech technology, developed locally for the first time, enables users to engage in uninterrupted voice conversations. Samantha AI also features automatic language recognition with no prior settings, as well as text-based interactions, text-to-voice and voice-to-text capabilities.

Samantha AI was conceived from the very beginning as a social AI, not just a chatbot. Our goal was to build a natural, coherent and easy-to-use conversational experience for real-life use

Users adopt voice interaction

Speech-to-speech sessions are proving substantially more engaging. According to platform data, they are 47% longer than text-only sessions and 31% longer than voice-to-text interactions from the previous version.

At the same time, over 68% of users now choose voice interaction by default. As a result, the platform’s drop-off rate within the first 30 seconds has fallen by 54%, while the return rate on Samantha AI V3 is 58% higher compared with the first version.

Samantha AI has evolved with each update

The first version of Samantha AI (V1), which relied exclusively on text-based interactions, surpassed 20,000 visits. The second version (V2) recorded over 100,000 visits within its first months, alongside a more than 400% increase in voice interaction volume.

Samantha AI was developed by Cristian Doiu and UXR, drawing inspiration from the operating system featured in the film “Her”. The platform is part of a broader digital ecosystem that includes Chatter.al, AWW.al, TheDesignBook.net, and Thinks.at.
